Client: Engineo Sp. z o.o.
Industry: Retail, Media & Services
Expertise: Cloud & Infrastructure
Scope of the project: Business analysis, UX/UI design, application development, testing, implementation, and maintenance
Tools: .Net, React Native, Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, Google Data Studio
The mobile application for managing smart electric bicycles is an advanced tool that allows users to personalize bike functions, monitor its parameters, and track routes in real time. With integration of BLE technology and Google Cloud, it provides intuitive operation and optimized energy consumption for mobile devices.
ALTEN Polska (formerly Solwit) developed the Ridemore mobile application for electric bicycles, enabling comprehensive management of advanced vehicle features. The application was designed for cyclists seeking innovative and user-friendly solutions to enhance the comfort of using electric bicycles.
Our team’s expertise included UX/UI design, coding, testing, and integration with advanced technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Google Cloud Platform. The client aimed for a solution that would be intuitive, functional, and reliable.
Project Progress
The ALTEN Polska team began the project with a detailed business analysis conducted during workshops with the client. This process not only refined the requirements but also introduced significant improvements at the concept stage. After gathering requirements, the application design focused on UX/UI and scalability – essential for supporting new bicycle models.
The development process followed iterative sprints. The development team collaborated with testers from the project’s onset, allowing for the continuous elimination of errors and rapid adaptation to the client’s evolving needs. Technologies such as React Native enabled the creation of an application for both iOS and Android platforms, while Google Cloud Platform and Firebase ensured the app’s stability and scalability.
Final Outcome
The result was the Ridemore mobile application, which allows users to:
- manage electric bicycle functions (ABS, assistance levels),
- monitor battery charge levels and log ride routes,
- generate reports via integration with Google Cloud,
- lend bicycles to other app users,
- scan NFC tags and QR codes for quick bike pairing.
By utilizing BLE, the application minimizes smartphone battery consumption, significantly enhancing user convenience.
Summary
The Ridemore project exemplifies ALTEN Polska’s comprehensive approach to delivering innovative technological solutions. Collaboration with the client resulted in an application that addresses modern cyclists’ needs, offering advanced functionality and an exceptional user experience. In a short timeframe, we delivered a high-quality product that ushers electric bicycles into a new era of mobility.
