MVP of an Online Platform for Landscape Architects

Project Title: MVP of an Online Platform for Landscape Architects

Client: SquareRoot AS

Industry: Retail, Media & Services

Expertise: Cloud & Infrastructure

Scope of the project: Developing an MVP of a web application using AWS and Angular

Tools: AWS (BAAS – Backend As A Service), Cognito, AppSync, Lambda Functions, Amplify, Angular

An MVP (Minimum Viable Product) of an online platform is the initial version of the application that includes essential functionalities enabling users to interact with the core features of the system. MVP allowed landscape architects to intuitively search for plants suited to specific conditions and establish connections with local nurseries.

SquareRoot AS required the development of a web platform that would connect landscape architects with local plant nurseries and investors. The main goal was to create an intuitive system that, through advanced filters, would help users match plants to specific environmental and locational conditions.

The expertise of the ALTEN Polska (formery Solwit) team enabled the design and implementation of a platform that met these needs, leveraging advanced cloud technologies and frontend tools. Delivering the solution within a very short timeframe was a significant project challenge.

Task Assigned to ALTEN Polska

The ALTEN Polska team was tasked with building the web platform using the client’s chosen technology and delivering the MVP within a tight deadline. The client emphasized the need for transparent communication and continuous consultation to adapt the platform to the dynamic requirements of its users.

Project Progress

The project began with the rapid mobilization of a development team skilled in AWS and Angular technologies. Over two months, a five-person team developed a comprehensive solution. Daily meetings with client representatives and the use of tools like Jira and Confluence ensured effective communication and process transparency.

Key components implemented during the project included Cognito (for user management), AppSync (for handling GraphQL APIs), Lambda Functions (for backend logic), and Amplify (for frontend-to-backend integration).

Final Outcome

After an intense two-month project cycle, the team delivered an MVP of the platform, enabling architects, investors, and plant nurseries to easily and intuitively match products to specific needs. The platform allows precise identification of which plants are best suited to environmental conditions and facilitates ordering them from local suppliers.

The client highlighted the professionalism and flexibility of the ALTEN Polska team, praising the speed of implementation and the high quality of the delivered solution.

Summary

The successful delivery of the MVP platform for SquareRoot AS confirmed that ALTEN Polska is a reliable partner capable of meeting demanding requirements in cloud technologies and web application development. Efficient project management, team dedication, and the use of cutting-edge technologies resulted in a solution that promotes sustainability and environmental care.
