Embedded software in vehicles requires continuous improvements to meet the highest safety and quality standards, adapting to the evolving demands of the market. The client sought a partner with advanced competencies to refactor code and perform testing in line with the strictest industry requirements.
ALTEN Polska supported Nippon Seiki, a global leader in the automotive industry, in the process of refactoring and validating embedded software. The project focused on HUD display systems for luxury automotive brands.
ALTEN Polska’s Role
The primary goal was to enhance the client’s teams with unique engineering competencies, enabling the execution of advanced unit and integration tests. ALTEN Polska provided a five-member team consisting of a leader, developers, and testers. The priorities included not only task execution but also consulting support in software development and testing processes for HUD systems.
Project Execution
ALTEN Polska delivered a complete team of specialists who collaborated with the client to develop new functionalities for the HUD system, refactor code, and create detailed project documentation. ALTEN Polska’s engineers utilized technologies such as AUTOSAR, Polyspace, and CANoe, aligning their workflows with the client’s internal requirements.
As part of the project, a testing infrastructure was developed, facilitating the creation and execution of 16,000 unit, HMI, and integration tests. All tests were conducted according to stringent safety standards, ensuring system reliability under real-world conditions.
Final Outcome
Thanks to close collaboration with the client’s team, ALTEN Polska delivered safe, efficient, and well-documented embedded software. The HUD platform was optimized for functionality, safety, and user ergonomics. The completed tasks not only accelerated system implementation but also enhanced software quality and stability.
