The task assigned to the ALTEN Polska (formerly Solwit) team was to create a web application to streamline the invoicing process for Carnect, a company operating in the automotive sector. The key challenge was to ensure seamless integration of the new solution with the client’s existing systems while automating repetitive invoicing tasks.
The team’s expertise covered designing and implementing scalable IT solutions in the cloud. Automating the process was critical for improving operational efficiency and reducing the risk of human error.
ALTEN Polska’s Role
Carnect approached us with a clear need to automate their business processes related to invoicing, highlighting the limitations of their previous manual approach. The client provided precise project requirements and a detailed specification. The team’s task was to deliver a stable and flexible solution that not only automated the process but also facilitated future development.
Project Progress
The ALTEN Polska team designed a web application based on Angular for the front-end and AWS Cloud for the back-end. A pivotal component of the solution was a tool operating on the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) principle. This tool enabled data extraction from one system, transformation based on specified business parameters, and transmission to another system.
The project was conducted in close collaboration with the client, who monitored progress through Jira. Daily communication via MS Teams ensured dynamic information exchange, eliminating the need for traditional daily stand-up meetings. Thanks to the team’s dedication and a transparent working model, the final solution was delivered within one month.
Final Outcome
The client received an automated application that revolutionized their invoicing process. The new solution significantly saves time and relieves employees from repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on business-critical activities. Thanks to its flexible architecture, the application can be expanded and developed internally by the client’s team.
