The concept of a digital twin is based on creating a virtual replica of a real object, process, or system using data gathered from sensors, such as IoT. This digital twin operates in parallel with the physical object, accurately reflecting its features, parameters, and behaviors.

By enabling real-time monitoring, analysis, and simulation, a digital twin provides deeper insights into the object’s functions and allows for the early detection of operational risks. Implementing digital twins allows companies to better manage real-world objects and production processes, resulting in increased efficiency, reduced costs, and accelerated innovation.

Project Execution

The primary goal of this project was to reduce costs and shorten the assembly time for control cabinets, leveraging digital twins of production machinery. Our team developed digital models replicating the drilling patterns used by the client in assembling control cabinets. This preparation aims to make the mounting plates ready at the design stage, eliminating the need for post-installation adjustments or manual modifications.

Previously, the plates were prepared solely based on documentation, which increased the risk of human error and extended the assembly timeline. With the digital twin, we can remotely generate batch files via cloud solutions, allowing the client to transfer data directly to production machines from anywhere.

Final Outcome

This project is ongoing and involves creating digital twins for additional client machinery. The results thus far have improved both production efficiency and the design processes.
